A jazz trombonist, composer, arranger, specializing in jazz, funk, and Latin jazz performance, both at live music venues, and in recording studios. From a young age Odei toured in Russia, Germany, Scotland, Czech Republic, Syria, and Greece. He has collaborated with many groups, such as East West European Jazz Orchestra, Four Tops, and The Temptations, to name a few. Currently Odei leads his own quintet.
Between 2004 and 2011 Odei studied jazz trombone at the Jazz Music School n/a Kim Nazaretov in Rostov-on-Don, Russia.
In 2009 he was invited to be a soloist and the lead-trombonist of the Municipal Jazz Orchestra n/a Kim Nazaretov. In the same year he was also invited to play with the East West European Jazz Orchestra (Germany), which allowed Odei to perform with Dennis Rowland, Jerry Bergonzi, Wycliffe Gordon, Dave Liebman, Milan Svoboda, and many others.
After graduating from the Jazz School he moved to the Netherlands and started higher musical education in Groningen at Prince Claus Conservatory where he studied with Robin Eubanks. Currently Odei studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and works as a professional trombonist in the area, while leading his own quintet, as well as being active in composing and arranging. Odei is also noted for playing Tibetan bowls and seashells as musical instruments.

– Winner of the GN-IX prize North European Jazz competition in 2012;
– Winner of the Ruud Booker Jazz Talent award in 2012;
– Winner of the Master-Jam International Jazz Competition in 2013.
